I'm a backend engineer specializing in data pipelines, microservices, and cloud infrastructure. I gravitate toward problems at the intersection of scale and reliability: building systems that process data efficiently, hold up under pressure, and deliver outcomes that show up in numbers. At CommerceIQ, I've shipped recommendation engines, migrated production infrastructure, and fixed the kind of outages that wake people up at 2am. I studied Computer Science at Madras Institute of Technology and published research at IEEE ICACCS before joining industry full-time. Software Development Engineer I
Jun 2023 – Present- Led end-to-end development of the Recommendations Module for Omni Command Center and Target Command Center, shipping Content Score, Paid/Organic Traffic, and Availability recommendation types via Spring Boot APIs and Databricks data pipelines.
- Integrated Recommendations with the RCA metrics layer, surfacing root-cause context directly inside recommendation cards for faster decision-making.
- Resolved MySQL 8.0 compatibility issues blocking a company-wide RDS upgrade; migrated 20 AWS RDS instances (Aurora + PostgreSQL) across Beta, QA, and Production.
- Configured AWS S3 lifecycle policies, saving $20K+ annually. Drove an additional $27K+ in RDS savings by right-sizing instances, implementing automated snapshot lifecycle policies via AWS DLM, and migrating to Aurora — totalling $47K+ in combined annual infrastructure savings.
- Built Databricks PySpark UDFs for multi-retailer data pipelines, cutting processing time from 8 hours to 4 hours across production workloads.
- Diagnosed and resolved a weekend production outage causing data staleness and missing records for SharkNinja, Nestlé Purina, and Heyday; triaged, patched, and restored full data integrity with zero data loss.
- Proactively identified and fixed a cache key collision in a live Spring Boot multi-tenant service that had gone undetected for over a year, eliminating silent data cross-contamination across modules.
Full-Stack Developer Intern
Jul 2022 – Aug 2022- Designed and shipped a full-stack Bank Management System using the MERN stack, covering secure authentication flows, session management, and role-based access control with multiple permission tiers.

Intelligent Load Balancing in SDN
📜 IEEE ICACCS 2022 ↗Implemented and benchmarked dynamic load-balancing algorithms (Round Robin, Weighted Round Robin, and Least Connection) for Software-Defined Networking environments. Validated using Mininet and POX controller simulations. Published at IEEE ICACCS 2022.
